I got acquainted with computer at a very young age of 9 years. Computer came at my home very early in 1999. The first game I played was NFS2SE at a very young age of 10. It was then I started taking interest in cars. When NFS:HS was released and after playing it a lot, I got bored of playing with the same cars again and again. Hence when internet was newly installed at my home, I used it to search for new cars for that game which led me to ND4SPDWorld (now shut down). I was amused by the no. of different cars and the variety which I got. I thought, why not design a car myself? So I registered there and researched about tools and softwares which I can use to design my own car and put it in the game. However I was not good at it and still I am not. Hence, I started editing cars made by others. It was fun and had even released few on ND4SPDWord long back (when I was still in school!) However that website shut down few years back and I lost all of my work (although a few) and neither do I have it on my PC because of system upgrades over the years.
Later I registered and became active on NFSCars and NFSAddons (formerly NFS Garage) and realised that NFSCars was bigger than ND4SPDWorld. Later as newer NFS games were released, tools to put new cars in them too were released. I also found out that cars from other games too can be extracted and be made compatible to be played in NFS. Hence I did my own research and extracted cars from the games which I owned through different tools and subsequently found a guy named 'Jakob' who extracted a variety of 3d car models of different car brands from other games. I got in touch with him and he became my official 3d model supplier. He always supplied me the 3d car models and textures whichever I requested and never rejected me. Half of my cars 3d models were supplied by him. I learnt how to put the car into multiple NFS games. It was not easy. It took some time to learn by keeping patience, making mistakes and improving with every effort. It is harder to put new cars in newer NFS games like NFS:MW and Underground series than it did for NFS:HS and NFS:HP2 because there is lot of coding involved. You need to know the names of car parts and the terminology which is different for every NFS. Moreover you need to clean the mesh which is a big headache because there are hundreds of car parts not required and you have to do lot of moving, rotating, renaming parts, combining and detaching parts as required. Moreover, even a small mistake like putting a small alphabet instead of a CAPITAL alphabet can vary your result a lot. Its a very time consuming process which requires lot of patience, but I am glad I became successful and improved with each and every release. This overall process of extracting a car from one game and putting it into another is called car conversion which is what I was doing over the years. Hence I was famously known as a car convertor rather than a car designer because I didn't design any cars.
NFS:MW is one of my favorite NFS games. Hence, when tools to put new cars for the same were released, I was one of the few first people to learn that and I can proudly say I was the first to launch a fully customizable car for NFS:MW i.e. Acura Integra which I converted from NFS:UG. Subsequently I stopped converting cars to NFS:HP2 and also learned to convert to NFS:UG and NFS:UG2. However it didn't excite me much as I don't enjoy playing them. Hence, I stuck to NFS:MW only and released more than 100 models for it.
I was a member of NFSCars for a very long time from 2004 till June 25, 2014 and on NFSAddons from July 18, 2006 till April 23, 2013. I was promoted as Moderator of NFSCars on June 26, 2012 which I served for exactly two years. I made many friends, not to mention 'Radu-Cristian' my closest friend with whom I partnered to release few vehicles. Not all the cars which I modded were conversions. Some were even scratch made or edited models by other members which I just put in the game because they didn't knew. Even few models of mine were put into games like NFS:PU by other members because I have no idea how to put it in that game.
Although my journey has been very good, I got many fans, well wishers and even received very good response and recognition for my work, it had to stop somewhere because life happens. I became busy in my career goals and slowly and steadily started loosing interest in it. I stopped converting new cars for all the games altogether and even stopped playing NFS and stopped visiting NFSCars and NFSAddons too one day. As I played too much of car racing games, it doesn't excite me any more. I haven't played any newer NFS games after Rivals. I don't find them exciting. Currently I enjoy playing tactical shooting games preferably open world. I still have few 3d models taking a space of my hard disk, some partially finished which I wished one day I should have completed before stopping. Anyways, I won't be resuming car conversions again for NFS neither would be active on NFSCars or any other NFS websites anymore.
Now since 2020, I entered mobile gaming too. I released 3 buses for Bus Simulator Indonesia (BUSSID) and on 6th Feb 2021, I released my first mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
This has been my overall vehicle modding journey in a nutshell. Anyone keen on making my biographic film?
